This is Me: Alife Named Victory

This Is Me: A Life Named Victory

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57

I didn’t always feel victorious. In fact, there were moments in my life when I felt completely broken. Moments when I cried quietly, smiled publicly, and carried pain no one else could see. But even in those dark seasons, I never let go of God. I couldn’t afford to.

After I got married, I expected that motherhood would come naturally. But year after year, I waited. Four years of praying, hoping, declaring, and believing. I watched others carry their babies, dedicate them, post their growing bumps, and testify of God’s goodness—and still, I waited. It was hard. But through it all, I clung to one truth: God is faithful.

Finally, I conceived. The joy that filled my heart was indescribable. My miracle had come! But soon after, the pregnancy became complicated. I started having intense cramps and was hospitalized. At 17 weeks, an ultrasound revealed that I had multiple fibroids—inside and outside my uterus. The doctor looked at me and said, “You will not be able to carry this baby beyond six months.”

I wanted to scream. I wanted to run. But all I could do was cry.

A few days later, the unthinkable happened. My water sack broke. I miscarried. I lost my baby. I nearly lost my own life. The physical pain was deep, but the emotional pain was deeper. I went home empty—no baby, just sorrow, bleeding, and a diagnosis. The doctor said I wouldn’t be able to carry a child again unless I underwent surgery to remove the fibroids.

I should have fallen apart. But I didn’t. God held me.

I began to experience constant cramps and bleeding that seemed unending. But then, a light broke through. In July 2021, I heard about a global healing program—Healing Streams with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. I had one month to prepare. And I did, with all my heart. I fasted, prayed, confessed God’s Word daily, and received incredible support from my group pastor, who stood by me like a father.

I refused negativity. I refused fear. I filled my atmosphere with faith, music, affirmations, and scripture. I believed with everything in me that this would be my moment.

When the Healing Streams Service came, I received my healing. I knew it. I felt it. Something changed in my body that day. I walked away with joy in my spirit and peace in my heart.

And just two weeks later, I missed my period. I knew I was pregnant again—and this time, it was different. I didn’t run to the hospital. I didn’t seek validation. I had my confirmation from God.

I fed myself with God’s Word like food. I declared His promises daily over my womb. I didn’t even go for a check-up until the fifth month. And by God’s grace, I carried my miracle baby to 39 weeks and delivered him safely.

Doctors said it was impossible. But God said yes.

That’s why Victory is my name—not because life has been perfect, but because God showed Himself mighty in my imperfection. When medicine said “no,” Heaven said “yes.” When life said, “give up,” God said, “get up.” He turned my pain into power, my weeping into worship, and my brokenness into beauty.

And that’s not the only time God proved Himself faithful.

Two months before my wedding, my fiancé entrusted me with the funds we planned to use. With a desire to multiply it and surprise him, I invested in cryptocurrency. I lost everything. I was devastated. I tried to recover it quietly, but I could only raise 20% of what we needed. Eventually, a week to the wedding, I told him the truth. He was hurt, but he forgave me and used all his savings to cover what was left.

After the wedding, we were out of cash. Then came another challenge—he missed his flight back abroad and we had no money to reschedule. We were stranded at the airport with no help in sight.

So, we did the only thing we could—we prayed. We held hands and began to speak in tongues, declaring that God would receive a miracle.

Moments later, a man tapped my back and asked, “You seem troubled. How can I help?” Before we could finish explaining, he asked, “How much do you need?” Then, just like that, he gave us the money. We never saw him again.

That was divine provision. That was God again.

So yes, Victory is my name—not just because I sing it, but because I live it. I’ve seen God come through when there was no way. I’ve seen Him show up when everyone else disappeared. I’ve seen Him heal, provide, restore, and resurrect what I thought was lost.

This chapter is just the beginning. And if you’ve ever felt forgotten, abandoned, or broken—this book is for you. You’re not too far gone. You’re not invisible to God. You’re not a failure.

Victory is your name too.

A Journey of Grace, Healing & Purpose

You are deeply loved. Not just by those around you—but by the One who created you, sees you, and calls you by name.

In a world of quick fixes and constant noise, it’s easy to feel like you have to earn love, strive for peace, or chase healing. But the truth is this: God’s love is not earned—it’s freely given. His healing is not distant—it’s already made available.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” – Jeremiah 31:3

At Glow With Grace, we don’t just believe in outer beauty—we believe in wholeness: body, mind, and spirit. Because real healing begins from the inside out.
